Session # 1:   Leadership Role in Wellness and Peer Support (1-Day) – January 16, 2024, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

  • Chief Executives, Command Personnel, and public safety supervisors need to understand the intricacies and challenges encompassing wellness and peer support programs. This one-day certified training workshop will provide an overview of the skillset necessary to build resiliency and capacity to maintain organizational/personal wellness and develop healthy and vigorous wellness and peer support programs within a public safety agency. This one-day workshop is designed for Executive Leaders, Command personnel, and supervisors who will manage and oversee Wellness and peer Support functions within a public safety organization.

Session # 2:  Wellness and Peer Support Program Development (3 Days) – January 17-19, 2024, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

  • This course is a 3-day Certified Peer Support Training Workshop.  It will give participants the knowledge, instruction, and administrative skills to deliver organizational and personal wellness services and a peer support program to public safety personnel. The goal is to provide all public safety employees in an agency the opportunity to receive emotional and tangible support through times of personal or professional crisis and to help anticipate and address potential difficulties through wellness and a peer support program.  The class is designed to develop and implement a robust peer support program. It is an introductory peer support course for those chosen individuals who have been vetted to be on their peer support team…. they will learn the skills necessary to offer support.
